A word from our sponsors
Every flamboyant agent needs a warehouse to
explore and each villain needs a secret lair.
In this accessory pack we hope to give you the means
to build your own rooms, and even complexes, with
a selection of floor, walls and doors. With decrepit
alleyways and luxuriously carpetted rooms, you can
create something on the tabletop that would look great
on any movie set.
We've included a handy 'how to' guide to get the
best out of these pages and also some ideas and
inspiration on constructing rooms.

There are 20 floor plans (two variations of each set):
Plan Size 250mm x 175mm (Approx 10 x 7 inches)
Grid size 25mm (Approx 1 inch)
5mm black border

The black border is to accommodate the walls, but
could be trimmed off to suit.

We've included 20 sets of 4 walls (five variations of
each set): plain; with posters & signs; with doors; with
damage; and with all!

No film set is complete without a props department,
and there are a number of resin scenery pieces used
in the photos in this pack.
These are a mixture of Copplestone Castings and
Ainsty Casting scenery painted by Mark Copplestone
all available from their websites.

How to build your sets
Don't know a scalpel from a spatula? Terrified of paper cuts? Fear not!
Mr Kevin Dallimore gives you this handy 'how to' guide to get the best out of
your paper terrain and build some beautiful sets of your own.

A workman is only as good as his tools, so before you
start make sure you have these essentials:
A good quality print out of the sets you require
5mm black foam board (for mounting the plans)
A sharp modelling knife or scalpel with a new blade
A cutting board, preferably A3 or bigger
Photo Mount or similar repositionable aerosol
adhesive
Steel rule
Old newspapers
Latex gloves
Outside area
Patience

Next, cut out the plans you are going to use from the
printout, always working on a cutting board, using a
sharp knife and a steel straight edge. Notice the floors
have a black edge that is designed to accommodate
the walls, but this can be trimmed off if not required.
Preparing your sets

Firstly decide what plans you want to make up before
you start cutting things up! Then, to save printer ink,
print out only those pages you require. When printing
the plan out, make sure you don’t use the “print to fit”
option in Acrobat, as the plans are already scaled to fit
the printable area of most home printers.
Use good quality paper and print at a high quality
setting. Do some test printouts. Print out one page of
plans and fiddle with your printer settings until you
are pleased with the results. Then save those printer
settings for use again. Check the printouts for colour
and darkness. Laser printers will often print darker
than inkjets, so be prepared to adjust your settings as
you go. Alternatively most good copy-shops will print
from a PDF like the one here, and these are normally
very good prints.

To make the most economic use of your foam board,
dry run assemble the plans on foam board before you
start gluing them in place ready for cutting.
