A builder’s model made by the John I Thornycroft company of their
55ft Coastal Motor Boat, a type that might be regarded as the
ancestor of all modern fast attack craft. Note the single torpedo and
the discharge gear, with the guide-rails over the stern. This version
also carries four depth charges, but some carried two torpedoes and
no depth charges. For additional photos of this model see p.75.
