TOYOTA TOUCH & GO SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The Toyota Touch & Go system enables a suite of services on select DA (Display Audio) head
units on available Toyota models. The system will connect with the user's cell phone for the
provision of Location Based Services as well as the various applets such as Google search,
fuel pricing, parking information, weather information, Parking and Glass of Water, etc. Other
services will be launched in the future. A range of cell phones have been validated as compat-
ible - see

for more details.
The system utilizes a USB connection for system software updates, navigation map updates
as well as access to a variety of USB media storage devices that use MP3, AAC, WMA and
WAV audio formats. The USB uses the 2.0 USB standards for connectivity. The USB port will
also charge a connected device.

Toyota Touch & Go System Capabilities:
The features provided by the Touch & Go System are:
1). GPS Navigation with map display and turn-by-turn audible guidance
2). USB 2.0 interface - for software updated, USB media devices and USB charging
3). Voice Recognition (TT&Go+ only) capability for audio media control, GPS Navigation and
Phone
4). Handsfree phone
5). On-line local search, POI send-to-car via cell phone link
6). Connected Applets (Fuel, Parking, Park & Go, & Weather) via cell phone link
7). Non-connected Applets (Glass of Water )

The Toyota T&G service is enabled by the separate Extension Box that mounts under the DA
head unit as shown below:

General Notices:
Warranty Replacement -
in the event any items are to be claimed under warranty return, be
sure to adhere to the relevant Toyota warranty return procedures. Details on system diagnostic
codes or other details may be required. Take note of this prior to starting the repair procedure
so you are aware of all requirements. Be sure to record diagnostic error codes onto repair order
before erasing them from the Touch & Go system.
Toyota T&G services -
the services provided by the Toyota Touch & Go system rely on the
provision of the data but also on the wireless phone network of the user's mobile phone.
Toyota Touch & Go System Pre-Check
Battery Check:
1). Confirm that the Vehicle Battery voltage is 10.5 volts minimum. If the Battery Voltage is
below 10.5 volts, the system may not operate properly.
2). Key-on power is required for all services
System Check:
1). Ensure the user's mobile phone is compatible with the system requirements as listed online
at
my.toyota.eu.
Minimum 3G network is recommended for services.
2). Use a known working phone with a problem vehicle to validate Toyota Touch & Go System
is working properly.
3). Use a known working Toyota Touch & Go System in alternative vehicle to validate a cus-
tomer phone is working properly.
NOTE:
Note: Prior to attempting to diagnosis a specific vehicle system issue, validate that the
reported issue is not a global occurrence impacting all vehicles.
