ABOUT (WM) WEBIFEX MAGAZINE
(WM) Webifex Magazine [web effects magazine] is a bi-monthly, subscription-based magazine primarily for web
designers. The goal of this magazine is to share design secrets through written web design tutorials, reviews,
interviews, tips, tricks, and open source examples from some of the industry’s best designers.
CONTRIBUTING
(WM) Webifex Magazine accepts contributions for cover art, articles, photos, links, and anything else you think is
relevant to the content of this magazine. In fact, your contributions are vital to the model of (WM) Webifex
Magazine. We feel that everyone has something to contribute, so please feel free to contact us with your ideas!
Content contributors will receive compensation for their hard work with one full page advertisement in (WM)
Webifex Magazine for every contribution that is published in the magazine.

The BIZ site will be used to handle all business related features such as the online store, where readers can purchase
(WM) Webifex Magazine merchandise such as t-shirts that have an embroidered (WM) Webifex Magazine logo on
them. Advertisers can also use the biz.webifex.com site to find information about our media kit, which profiles the
magazine's content and its readers.
Here it is folks. Issue 01 has officially been released
and if you're reading this it means you must have
received it somehow. Wow, I'm excited about this
adventure. The countless long nights and large
consumption of coffee have paid off. I’m learning so
much from creating this magazine, and that’s what
makes it fun for me!
Web designers continue to knock down barriers that
once existed when designing for the web. With the
help of new technology such as Flash MX, the web is
now a more flexible medium that provides an open
canvas, free from many of the earlier limitations that
existed in web design.
It’s now possible to express our emotions to the
world using a truly global medium where we as
designers, can paint whatever picture that challenges
our audience.
It is becoming increasingly apparent to me that our
personal networks can extend much farther than the
people you meet on a walk to the local coffee shop.
In fact, I'm fairly positive that people in over 50
countries are reading this message. It was less than
three months ago that I had the idea to start (WM)
Webifex Magazine. That’s what I call getting a
message out quickly. Talk about exposing yourself
to criticism!
(WM) Webifex Magazine is a creative outlet that belongs to you, designers as a whole. Use it to learn new
design techniques, to learn unique approaches to design, to share design secrets, and to gain insight into the minds
of some of the world’s best designers.
I have many aspirations and high goals for (WM) Webifex Magazine. But at this moment, my main goal is that
you enjoy Issue 01. Have fun with it!
