Author
Born in Aberdeen in 1954, Stuart Reid has worked as a
librarian and a professional soldier. His main focus of interest
lies in the military history of the 18th and 19th centuries.
This interest stems from having ancestors who fought at
Culloden, Bunker Hill and even in the Texas Revolution.
Illustrator
Peter Dennis was born in 1950. Inspired by contemporary
magazines such as
Look and Learn
he studied illustration
at Liverpool Art College. Peter has since contributed to
hundreds of books, predominantly on historical subjects,
including many Osprey titles. A keen wargamer and
modelmaker, he is based in Nottinghamshire, UK.
