Muaahahhhah! :)

Find The Catcher in The Rye by J.D. Salinger and read the first page.
Nothing beats that introduction!

But I guess you wanna read some deep personal stuff about myself :).
Hehe, here it goes:

I was born in Kielce, Poland in 1976, what makes me to be 19
right now. I enjoy all kinds of sports, and used to be on a track
team in my high school. I guess I can be best described by saying I
love mUSIC, sEX, and sTEPHEN kING's books (in that order).

It all started in 1991, in Poland, when my Amiga 500 was purchased
for me as a Christmas gift in Warsaw, and I had to carry it back home to
my native city 250 km down South. From that point on, my life has never
been the same...

Fascinated by the awesome and incredible demos, and especially
superior music of C64 over Zx-Spectrum and 8-bit Atari, the Amiga was
the extention of my fascination. Because of the ongoing computer
trend in Poland at that time, many of my friends already either had
computers, or were going to buy one (most of them had Amigas, but
there were some with Atari ST and a very few with PC, *sight*).

It was easy for me to get into the local scene, because most of my
friends were already in it. The scene was the MAIN reason why I
started making music: it gave me such pride to show others my
compositions, and it was the coolest thing to hear a positive (hehe,
not always) feedback. Anyway, I started in a small group called
Future Vision with at that time my best friend, Larson (of Mystic?)
and one other guy of name I can't remember. Of course - I was the
only musician in the group :). We had some plans on doing many demos,
even a game - but it never happened. After a year or two we joined
another local group and grew bigger and stronger: Beta Team. With
this group something was really released - the IBM slideshow and the
Betag (Yeaaaaaaaahhhhhh!) :) series. All of my songs were released
underthe name of of Phobos.

Now, when I think back about those times, the greatest influence
had the very few, but how incredible groups (and names): Phenomena
with Tip and Mantronix and Firefox; Pure Metal Coders; Melon and
Kefrens. The all time greatest musicians that will always stay in my
mind are Audiomonster, Moby and Peter Salomonsen, with many others that
follow them up (like S.L.L., Mantronix, and Bit Arts).

Hmm... the funny, or rather utterly sad part of my story is that
up to that time I didn't even have my own sampler, not mentioning any
keyboard or a drum machine. Yes - it was hard to be creative with
ripped samples. And no, I couldn't just go out and buy any of the
hardware that I wanted - it was way too expensive.

The situation improved a bit when I joined another group - Action
Direct... As far as I know nothing was released with my music by that
group, but it was nice to be in it just the same. I joined them at
the first big copy party in Warsaw in 1992 (I think). Even at that
time XTD was pretty unknown musician =). Meantime I purchased a
sampler and could get more creative, but still - it wasn't exactly
what I really wanted.

And then... there's a bbbbiiiiiiiiIiiiiigggg gap in the history
of my music making. I moved to USA, and for almost two years didn't
have my computer (read AMIGA). All of the scene friends left me.
That was really depressing for me, but right now, muahahahahah, I don't
give a f***. It was really dissapointing for me to find out how much
you can't count on your "friends".

Anyway, I'm obsessd with music... I'm trying to build a mini
studio for myself, so that I could record a pro music. I'm sick and
tired of Amiga's 28.8kHz and only 4 channels... It gives me creeps on
my back. I didn't go to the Party V because I was saving up my money
for some nice midi equipment. Right now I have a Yamaha V50, which
is a decent keyboard. What I really want to do is to buy some sound
modules (for ambient/classical music). In addition, I also have
Alesis HR16 drum machine.

Currently I'm working on a soundtrack for an amatheur movie from
George Mason University. A friend of mine who attends that Univesity
asked me to write the soundtrack for them, so I didn't want to blew
that chance :).

In last words, I'd want to say that no group that I joined
(either Aliens, Myth, TRSi, Freezers) gave me a full satisfaction of
belonging to the "scene". I'm still looking for more cooperative
groups that I could join and have phun. But I don't swap disks
anymore. The internet took over all of my needs for swapping disks.
However, if you have some nice CDs or tapes that you want to swap -
send them over, and I'll send you some of the stuff that I have :).

I love true ambient and intelligent music. Any music, as long
as it fulfills the above requirements is considered by me to be good :).
And so I listen to all kinds of music. I'd say that the best
dancefloor group is the ancient and justified The KLF! I also love
Prodigy, with their hardcore rave drums :). In general - I love
trance and pure hardcore rave. In addition, my all time favorit is
Bathory - a death metal band from Sweden. And of course, I enjoy
listening to all that pop crap and everything that is cool and hot.
Nirvana and Metallica, Prince, Savatage, Clannad, Enya, Nine Inch
Nails, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Enigma - I love them all.

dSx!/Freezers and TRSi RECORDZ signs off
