                               Force Ten History
                              ッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッ

One day, I (Zap) called on a Local Multi-Line BBS and got to talk to a guy
who wanted to start an ART magazine! (It was DD hehehe) And we started
DISTORTED with me, Deeply Disturbed and Red-Leader. We released 2 E-Mags
(I was making the Background Music! Of course!) So, after those 2, I released
a Distorted Music Disk (DSDMZKDK.ZIP) and it was quite succesful!
(Well in the [514] area!).

Then, a guy wrote to me: His name was The Duellist! (Hehehe) he said that he
liked my "Rush quotes" coz he was a fan too and he liked my music, and he
told me that he was tracking too (He was using .669 by the time).
So I leeched some of his songs and found that he was not so bad.

When Distorted died later, I asked TD if he wanted to start a Computer Music
Group, and he said: Yeah! Why not? And it stayed that way for a couple of
months... (Yeah, we were doing nothing) So, one day, TD wrote me back and said:
Hey! how about FORCE TEN? That would be a great name! (Force Ten is a song from
RUSH for those who don't know) Then I tought: Yeah! That would be great!!!
So I called Vizz and asked him if he wanted to join our little group! (He was
still doing .MODs on his Amiga)

So, a little later, we got together few songs, an interface, a player,
and we released FORCE TEN PACK #1, boy! That was it. Force Ten was launched!
A month later we released the Pack #2, with a new VGA interface, and better
songs...

It was on the Pack #3 that Force Ten really took off I think, I decided to code
a full blown Interface with Integrated player... And designed new graphics for
Force Ten. And it was a shock! New Full VGA Interface and Player!!! (Remember
those cute littl' Light Bars???) After that MAIN release, we took it down a
bit... TD was busier than ever before, and we got maybe a bit lazy... Me and
Vizz (2 months later) talked to TD about the Pack #4! (We wanted to release it
SOON!) So, TD said: Well, release without me!, I'll be back in #5!

So, anyways, TD got some time and programmed the DRUMS on a RUSH cover called
Subdivisions we released on Pack #4... At least he helped! So, it stayed that
way for couple of months again, I was working on New songs and things were
going great. I even released 2 stand-alone songs coz I had so much stuff! After
that, me and TD decided to work on another RUSH cover, it's called "Leave That
Thing Alone". I think we did a great job! We wanted to release it in Pack #5
but, it was too big, so we released it as another stand-alone song.

Later, we were slowly planning our "NAID" Trip... So, two weeks before NAID, we
released Force Ten Pack Number Five, and TD was back in action. This pack is,
in my humble opinion, the best pack ever released by Force Ten, the songs are
good and consitant. Experience It!

                                  The Duellist

The Duellist is 19 years old. He plays the drums and likes it a lot! He is the
Force Ten co-founder (with The Zapper!) and he was previously in groups like
GRiP and ACiD. His influences are Rush (Neil Peart), Iron Maiden, Uzeb, Primus,
Genesis Buddy Rich. He tries to compose songs that are original and interesting
to listen to and his only goal is to have fun while doing it. He likes to eat
chicken and Satan is his best friend. :)

                                      Vizz

It's quite simple, I started to like the good old Commodore 64. I learned to
program in assembly language and started to fix demos. (Probably where I got
this feeling for demos... and music!) I left the C-64 scene because of lame
calling problem... Then came the Amiga... Cool! I started to make musics with
it... But then, the PC! Wooaahh... When I heard about the Gravis Ultrasound, I
decided to buy it and then I bought my PC (wierd!)... From then, you probably
know how I progressed.

                                  The Zapper!

The Zapper! is 21 years old. He plays Bass Guitar and Synthetisers on a band
called "Casual Sounds". He's the co-founder of Force Ten and was previously in
groups like GRiP and DISTORTED. His main influences are Rush, Genesis and Dream
Theather. This guy is a lot into "Real" sounding S3Ms. He likes heavy riffs and
complex forms.

                          ッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッ

We finally released our Pack Number Six and there's many projects for Pack #7,
a new interface, new songs and many other things. Kodiak is gonna work with us
for sure, I don't know about Optic Shadow (Surely). We talked about a SVGA
Interface with no Animation, there's many things to be decided yet. Maybe Oman
will do some graphics for us too, but nothing's sure. Force Ten is
collaborating to many special projects too: We're gonna release a GENESIS
Tribute Music Disk with Necros Of Five Musicians. So, the future looks bright
and execpt to see us more.

Project. The Zapper! did some soundtrack for a demo called: The Night Life. The
whole demo was coded by Kodiak and it won the first place at Hasty's Demo Compo
held on the Net.

The Zapper! is a part of Surprise Productions too, no contributions yet.

                           Force Ten Pack Number One
                          ッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッ

Force Ten Pack Number One was released a day in June 1994, we had a bunch of
songs ready for it and The Zapper! coded an interface in ANSI. It was similar
to the "Distorted Music Disk" once release by The Zapper! all alone. (1 or 2
months before Force Ten was created) We used an external player because of some
technical reasons: The main of is that Zap didn't know how to code such a
thing!

By this time, The Zapper! & The Duellist just got a hand on Scream Tracker
Version 3.01 Beta and Vizz was still making .MODs on his AMIGA. ST3.01 was
fairly new and we were experimenting the incredible power of that editor.

This Pack Contains The Following Songs:

Beyond The Night... - The Zapper! & The Duellist
                                Druid II - Vizz
God! Isn't It Beautiful? - The Duellist
                             Inside Secrets - Vizz
                            Le Neant - The Duellist
                              Rebel Minded - Vizz
The Stationary Ark - The Zapper!
                      Temporal Disturbance - The Duellist
Where's The Time? - The Zapper!
                                 Wicked - Vizz

                           Force Ten Pack Number Two
                          ッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッッ

Force Ten Pack Number Two was special for Force Ten: it showed us the kind of
"path" we needed to go. Many Force Ten Classics/Inovative Songs came from that
pack, just think of Acoustical Blues and The Devil's Dance wild sounds or
Trangression and The Final Bell special moods. The songs were improved, so was
the interface: our first VGA interface was released in this pack too. Still we
used an external player.

By the time, The Zapper! was making 90% of his samples and gave them to the
other Force Ten Members. Many good samples were created in this era! Samples
that we still use! (Strings, Guitars, Leads, Drums) Vizz was still making .MODs
on his AMIGA.

After Force Ten released that pack, many projects were in the air for #3...

This Pack Contains The Following Songs:
