Install instructions
1. Copy Topaz A.I. Gigapixel 4.4.3 - application.zip to your /Applications folder and unpack
2. Run Topaz Gigapixel AI 4.4.2-support-files.pkg
3. Run Topaz Gigapixel AI 4.4.2-crack.pkg
(Support files and crack remain unchanged since v4.4.2)
If you are prompted for a destination (seems almost random when the installer does this) just click “Install For Me Only” then continue.
The first step installs the main application. Step 2 installs necessary support files into ~/Library/Application Support/Topaz Labs/ and step 3 copies a plist file to ~/Library/Preferences.
A few people have reported install problems with previous releases. I’ve managed to track the issue down to OSX caching plist files. Although you may update them on disk, when the app starts it OSX gives it the last copy from cache, not the one you just wrote to disk!
This new installer includes a script to refresh the cache after copying the file, so you should not have that problem any more. For reference it runs this terminal command:
defaults read ~/Library/Preferences/com.com-topazlabs.Topaz\ A.I.\ Gigapixel.plist
Unfortunately I could not create an install script for the main app. Or more specifically, when installed via an installer it did not run. No idea why… but the zip archive works fine.
