WARNING: This is a guide on how to install Windows NT on VirtualBox, not VMWare, not some other emulation software, not your own computer, just VIRTUALBOX. WARNING: If your install partition is too large for Windows NT (More than 4 GB), the install will not work. WARNING: Since this is SP1, you can only have 7.7 GB for your other partitions, split each partition into that. WARNING: I do not know if you can dual boot, but to be safe let's say it doesn't. This is a guide to install on VirtualBox so you don't have to replace your OS. So you wanna use Windows NT 4 for whatever reason, but you can't find a guide and/or an installation disc/disk image. Or maybe this is your first result okay whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Anyway, you found the right guide! I found a disc for Windows NT 4 in my stuff, and I had an idea. For Windows Mac and most Linux distros. Step 2: Open VirtualBox and click "New" at the upper left corner. Step 3: Name it "Windows NT 4" and click "Next" Step 4: Give it 896 Memory. Click "Create" and Next twice. Step 5: Give it 3.74 MB and no more, read the warnings at the top if you are confused. Click Next. Step 6: Click "Start" at the top left corner. Step 7: Click the icon with a folder and a green up arrow and select the "Windows NT 4.iso" file. Click "Start" Step 8: Wait for the install screen to load. Step 9: Click Enter/Return twice, click C, click PGDN 7 times, click FN+F8, Enter/Return twice, click Down Arrow, and finally Enter/Return thrice. Step 10: Right click the disc icon in the bottom right corner and click "Remove disk from virtual drive" Step 11: Click Enter/Return. Step 12: Right click the disc icon and click "Windows NT 4.iso" Step 13: Click next twice and enter your name and organisation, or just your name and click next. Step 14: Type in the code in Key.txt in this folder. Click Next. Step 15: Enter a name for your computer, click next. Step 16: Enter a password for your admin account, [insert overused instruction here]. Step 17: Click "No, do not create an emergency repair disk" and Next. Step 18: This is your choice, next. Step 18: N E X T Step 19: Click Next, Start Search, Next x3, Continue, Yes, Next x3, Close, OK x2, right click disc and click "Remove disc from virtual drive" and Restart Computer. Step 20: You did it! Click "Windows NT Workstation 4.0"(Note: Instead of CTRL+ALT+DEL, click RSHIFT+DEL)
