1. Facebook Brand Page Basics 
Creating a Facebook brand page is not as complicated as you might 
think—once you have created the “shell,” you can easily add more and more 
features.  
 
You will use the page that you build today
throughout the product launch 
process​
, so please follow the directions carefully.

2. Facebook Page Dimensions 
Visit the following link to check out all of the Facebook page size dimensions:

The most important dimensions to know right now are:  
 
Cover photo: 851 x 315 pixels  
Profile image/logo: At least 180 x 180 pixels (square)  
3. Creating Your Facebook Brand Page 
Take the following steps to create your Facebook brand page:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/creation/​. The page looks like

2. Click “Get Started” underneath “Business or Brand.”  
3. Enter your brand name, then enter a category that matches your brand.

If you live outside the US, you 
can enter a made-up address for now, and change it later.

Your pictures tell a story about your brand, but you still need to give people 
more information. Take the following steps to add information to your “About” 
section:

URL! In the unlikely event that your page username is not available, try 
entering the brand name with an underscore or a dash (for example, 
“Your_Brand” or “Your-Brand”).  
5. Click “Enter website,” enter the domain name that you have already 
registered, and click “Save.”  
6. Click “Edit About” in the left sidebar, then add a short description of your 
brand (no more than 250 characters).  
7. Click “Tell people about your business” underneath “Our Story,” then read 
through each pop-up window where Facebook provides you with a brief 
explanation of what kind of information to include in your story.  
8. Click “Drag or click to add a photo,” then double-click your cover photo 
to upload.  
9. Enter your brand name as the title.

In the box labeled “Write something,” tell people about your brand.

you’re not sure where to start​
, take a look at other brands in your niche, 
and use them for inspiration. Remember,
do not copy them, only use 
them as a jumping-off point​

Your page is coming along, but there is another extremely important step to

Click “Settings” at the top right of the page, and click “Edit” next to “Visitor 
Posts.”  
2. Click the box next to “Review posts by other people before they are 
published to the Page.” This allows you to review all posts on your page 
and choose which posts to publish or to ignore, and stops anyone from 
spamming your page. Then, click “Save Changes.”
