Coupons
This gives you the steps for how to utilize Amazon Coupons to
grow your business.
This Lesson Covers:

1. What Are Amazon Coupons/Why Are They Important?
Amazon released a cool feature to sellers:
Amazon coupons.
These were
previously only available to vendors, but can now be used by any seller.

They work similarly to clipping a coupon from a magazine or
newspaper, only you do it through Amazon.
●
They are similar to promotions, but are
easier to use
and
provide better
●
You can use them to provide customers with a dollar amount or
percentage off your product.
●
They can be used on individual products or groups of products.
●

To use Amazon Coupons, you must have a Seller Rating of 3.5 or
higher.

Amazon Coupons are called Vouchers in the UK market.
Where Do Amazon Coupons Show Up?
Amazon coupons show up in the following places:

Your product page
●
Goldbox deal page (the second-most visited of all Amazon pages)
●
Amazon coupons page
●
Amazon search results
Why Use Amazon Coupons?
Use Amazon coupon codes because they provide you with the following
benefits:
●
Increased sales
●
Higher conversions
●
Higher visibility (especially on search results)
●
No need for the customer to enter a promo code (which makes it easier
for them to complete a purchase)

2. How to Use Amazon Coupons
Take the following steps to set up your own Amazon coupons:

Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account.

5. Start with “Search & Add Products.”
6. Find your product by entering either the SKU or your product keywords
into the search box, then click “Go.” The product will show up below the
search box.
7. Click “Add to coupon” next to your product listing, then click “Continue to
next step.”
8. Select the circle next to either “Money Off” or “Percentage Off,” then enter
the discount amount into the box below your selection.

Note:
Amazon requires that your discount is between 5% and 80% of your
lowest price for the product in the past 30 days.

Essentially, if you have already been selling your product at a
deep discount, you need to offer people an even better deal with
this coupon.
b. If Amazon suppresses your coupon, making it inactive, go back in
and increase the discount so that it becomes active again.
10. Select whether or not you want to limit this coupon to one per customer.
11. Enter a budget for the entire lifespan of the coupon:

Amazon charges you a $0.60 flat rate every time someone uses
your coupon—
make sure to build this into your budget.

2. Hover your cursor over “Advertising,” then select “Coupons” from the

19. When your coupons are up and running, your coupon dashboard will

Keep the following in mind
as you start running your coupons:
●
Coupons must be set up four days in advance.
●
Coupons can always be used along with a regular promotion (even if
set to “preferential”), so promos and coupons can stack up/be
combined.
●
The number of people who actually redeem your coupon will be fewer
than the number of people who clip it and don’t use it.
●
The sales attributed to each purchase tend to lag behind a few days, so
always give yourself some extra time to see if the coupon is effective.
●
Once your coupon is live (or within two days of starting), editing will only
allow you to
increase your budget
or
extend the end dates
. You will
not
be allowed to change the offer, the title, the image, etc.
●
If a coupon expires because of your budget, you cannot turn it back on
by increasing your budget. You must create a new coupon! To avoid
this, check your coupons daily.
●
Some categories are still restricted from running coupons.
That’s all there is to setting up your Amazon coupon!
